If you are caught smoking in your room or damaging things by being a smoker, most hotels have every right to charge you whatever the hell they see fit. Smoking inside can create damage and odors which other guests may not appreciate. If you are a smoker, find some outside where it has been designated.

2. Do Not Overlook Check-In And Out Times

And not to mention, every hotel has check-in and check-out times. Attempting to adhere to these times will save you from undue confusion and additional charges. If you need to extend, ask the front desk if that is an option.

3. Don’t Steal Items
